Meeting with Head of the Libraries Peer Review Committee

Although librarians at VCU are not tenured, we go through the peer-review process to earn promotion.  Today I met with the head of the Peer Review Committee to learn more about the process.  The advice I received was to save everything I could to be included in my dossier a few years from now.  Email commendations, teaching tools, anything I create or develop.  I should also look at the dossiers of successful librarians, to get an idea of how to shape mine.  I’m highly organized already, so this shouldn’t be too difficult to put together!
