Stone Trivets

I created three of these stone trivets for less than $8. They work great as a trivet, or nice decoration underneath a fake plant. (It’s not waterproof!)

Materials:
Two bags of stone pebbles from Michael’s (one bag of large stones, one bag of small).
Three sheets of black felt (Target)
Three sheets textured brown felt (Michael’s)
One pack (4 sheets) 12″x12″ corkboard (Target)

Additional items:
Pencil and chalk for felt tracing
Scizzors
Hot glue gun
Pot lid

Trace the pot lid on the felt and corkboard. Cut the brown felt a little larger than the outline of the lid, so it will come up over the edge of the cork.
Glue the brown felt to the corkboard.
Glue the black felt to the corkboard.
Glue stones onto the black felt side. Try to pick flat stones. You may want to arrange the stones on the felt before gluing to ensure a nice arrangement.
